I’m a junior studying MS&E and I’m passionate about building communities to create social good, especially around sustainable food systems and climate as focus areas. My experiences have spanned food and climate policy, working with alternative protein startups, and directing Food4Thought at Stanford, a student-led food systems conference. Originally from Carmel, IN, I’m obsessed with Spotify, foraging, energy drink collections, and trying new vegan food.
I’m passionate about grassroots organizing, social impact, and community-driven change. My work has focused on advocacy, nonprofit leadership, research, and helping young people turn ideas into meaningful action. I’m especially interested in building stronger connections between students and local communities, making social impact work more accessible, and ensuring that projects are shaped by the people they aim to serve. As Grassroots Lead, I hope to expand student engagement, strengthen community partnerships, and help create initiatives that lead to lasting, measurable impact.
Hi my name is Mandy and I am a junior from GA studying economics, data science, and IR. I’m a big believer in grassroots and bottom up approaches when it comes to social impact entrepreneurship. I’ve seen it firsthand creating innovative projects at finance and research firms across E Asia, or working in the US government (at the Treasury and White House), microfinancing in SE Asia, or trekking around the world studying abroad in MENA and Oxford, talking to strangers about how I can help local enterprises and communities. I’ve been involved in the impact startup space ever since I’ve stepped foot in Stanford, having TAed and founded my own. Can’t wait to continue giving back!
